Director of Marketing

Position Summary: The Director of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and executing the marketing and brand strategy for our asset management platform for commercial real estate owners. This individual must have extensive experience in leading and managing integrated marketing programs across regions and platforms, including PR/communications, online and email marketing campaigns, content marketing, and events management.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead & Manage: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that identifies and expands upon key levers for growth. Oversee entire marketing organization and ensure an integrated approach is taken across both traditional and digital strategies.
  • Innovate & Optimize: Understand and map the buyer journey, and create content to push individuals of different personas to the next stage in the buying cycle. Oversee customer segmentation analyses to ensure users are being presented with the right products via the right mediums. Work with the product team to develop new tools and products to drive acquisition, increase conversions, and decrease the sales cycle. Develop new and cutting-edge marketing campaigns for both digital and traditional channels to attract new customers.
  • Collaborate: Collaborate with sales and business development teams to ensure holistic marketing campaigns are executed successfully. Identify and manage 3rd party suppliers and agencies when outsourcing is necessary and cost efficient. Monitor and report the performance of key marketing metrics.


Qualifications:
  • 10+ years marketing and leadership experience; MBA a plus
  • Track record of product positioning and messaging targeting Enterprise and SaaS customers using a variety of communication methods that are concise, clear and engaging
  • An integrated marketing mindset, passion for storytelling through multiple media types, both visual and written, with sound experience in brand and creative strategy, and an excellent understanding of the interplay offline and online
  • Proven ability to build and manage a team, and an external organization of partners
  • Experience as a builder of successful B2B marketing teams and programs
  • Demonstrable understanding of marketing best practice and a proven track record of driving lead generation success through successful marketing initiatives
  • Desire and ability to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team and across the organization
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment where there is no roadmap to follow – need to be able to create a vision, build strategies, mobilize for action and execute flawlessly

Insurance Advisor

Position Summary: As our Insurance Advisor, we need you to assist in providing insurance assessments for our commercial real estate clients. Our expense analytics software platform is used by owners of commercial real estate portfolios across the U.S. – and we need you to help them to ensure they have the right insurance policies and procedures in place at the best cost. Therefore, in this advisory role, we are looking for an individual who possesses considerable expertise regarding insurance for the commercial real estate industry. Initially this will be a part-time position. It is fine to work remotely.


Responsibilities:
  • Assess client’s needs and clarify their business priorities
  • Identify client’s main risk issues and prioritize them in order of potential consequences
  • Uncover gaps in client’s corporate protection policies and procedures
  • Design plan for client that recommends solutions and coverage changes
  • Develop report for presentation to insurers, describing client’s desired coverage, limits and deductible levels


Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in the insurance industry, including clients that are owners and managers of commercial real estate portfolios
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, the inner workings of insurance carriers and brokerage firms, and the insurance market throughout the U.S.
  • Expertise across all lines of insurance applicable to the commercial real estate industry
  • Experience in underwriting, conducting insurance audits, establishing policies and procedures, and servicing complex commercial insurance programs
  • Ability to quickly pinpoint exactly what commercial real estate owners need and why
  • Network of contacts throughout the U.S. insurance industry

UI/UX Designer

Position Summary: Waypoint is looking for a UI/UX Designer that will be responsible for initially both UI & UX design. This designer will be expected to lead our design process in terms of implementing industry best practices, and creating state-of-the-art solutions to our user experience. This person should be comfortable producing multiple iterations of wireframes & mockups to be used during the research & specification processes. This person will also need to be comfortable interviewing our customers for user research and working with team members from all departments.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design process to create state-of-the-art user interfaces in our product
  • Implement best practice design process for Waypoint to adopt and successfully iterate on design (i.e. design sprints, file management, style guide, tools etc.)
  • Moderate creative brainstorming sessions where user requirements and designs are developed
  • Work with customers, client success, product management, engineering and the executive team collaboratively to iterate design and integrate feedback
  • Support the user research process via producing prototypes & conducting user testing
  • Create and revise low-fidelity wireframes and user flows
  • Develop high resolution mockups using tools like Sketch or Illustrator
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are effectively implemented to spec
  • Provide ad-hoc design assistance to other departments in the Company
  • Ensure that design elements and displays are consistent across all products and materials


Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or other relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience of user interface design work for complex web applications
  • Strong design sense with examples to point to from past work; desire for pixel perfect designs
  • Expert in software usability and up-to-date on the most recent trends in the web-based application industry with a passion for continuously learning and staying on top
  • Expert with wireframing software such as Sketch, Adobe CC
  • Experienced in prototyping applications such as InVision
  • Experience in Zeplin or similar product a plus
  • Good understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Strong presentation & moderation skills
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum) development environment a plus
  • Self-starter with strong self-management skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Data Engineer

Position Summary: At Waypoint you have a fantastic opportunity to help us re-architect and develop our next generation product. We are looking to solve Big Data problems by using analytics to create benchmarks for the Commercial Real Estate industry. This will involve everything from diving into databases and tuning them to perform optimally, to defining, understanding and investigating real Data Science problems with our large repository of information.


Responsibilities:
  • Drive and define the core database storage technology to power our analytics platform
  • Build an effective ETL process that ensures the highest data quality for our customers
  • Architect a highly-scalable (horizontally and vertically) data storage platform key to our next generation analytics platform
  • Create, develop and maintain an efficient data warehouse that drives the delivery of analytics to our clients
  • Work on developing patents, journal and conference publications


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Proficient in SQL, has worked with PostgresSQL, Oracle or Amazon Redshift
  • Proficient in developing efficient database schema
  • Proficient in Python or at least one other scripting language
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills

QA Engineer

Position Summary: At Waypoint you have a fantastic opportunity to help create our next generation Big Data and Analytics product with a focus on quality and delivering value to our customers. We are looking to solve our customers expense management problems in the Commercial Real Estate industry. This will involve everything from working closely with our development team to ensure that we have the right testing and automation in place to ensure a quality product, to working with our Client Success team to help triage and resolve customer issues. It will also entail digging into our data pipeline to ensure we always have accurate data presented in our platform.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and own the quality process for our platform and analytics
  • Create and monitor an effective automation framework to reduce the risk of regressions and test escapes
  • Work closely with our Development, Product Management and Client Success teams to ensure we have a high-quality product that meets our customers’ needs
  • Team up with DevOps to tie testing into our CI/CD infrastructure


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Experience with Automation testing and frameworks
  • Experience with testing Web applications and APIs
  • Familiar with GUI testing using frameworks such as Selenium
  • Experience with using cross browser testing tools for automation such as Sauce Labs
  • Familiar with integrating system tests into a CI/CD infrastructure
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
